Navigating the River New Student Orientation (NSO)
Description
Who should attend: All new, degree-seeking students, including students who were previously Dual Enrollment.
Do not attend if you are currently enrolled in high school as a Dual Enrollment student.
Parents are welcome to attend Day 1 but not required.

- Get your questions answered
- Tour the campus
- Meet new friends, faculty and staff
- Make sure you're ready for the first day of class
August 14 and August 15 – Both days are required
- August 14 – All students attend the Massey Campus in Fort Pierce
- August 15 – Students attend the campus where the majority of their fall classes will be held
New Student Orientation includes a two-day, in-person event and a required virtual orientation course (SLS1501). Together, these will help you successfully Navigate the River!

- Should my parents attend with me?
Parents are welcome to attend.
- Is orientation mandatory?
Yes, it is mandatory, however you will not be penalized if you are unable to attend.
- How long is orientation?
Orientation is a 2 day event. The first day will be held at the Massey Campus in Fort Pierce and day 2 will be located at the campus you designated as your home campus.
- Is there an online portion of orientation?
Yes, all students will be signed up for SLS1501 to complete the virtual components of orientation. This may be completed throughout your first semester.
