Freedom Festival & Memorial Ruck

Indian River State College will host the Freedom Festival & Memorial Ruck to honor the people who died on 9/11 and the veterans who served after the terror attacks. 

The 1-mile ruck march will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pruitt Campus Library in Port St. Lucie. 

The college will put on the event with the nonprofit #DoYouGiveARuck to raise money for a Veteran College Fund.

The ruck march will also raise money for the #DYGAR? Emergency Relief Fund, which helps veterans pay for rent, bills and other expenses. 

The event will feature live music, food trucks and local vendors.
